Synopsis:
Lil' C, Debbie Allen, Adam Shankman, and Tyce Diorio joined Mary and Nigel at the judges' table. Nigel told the dancers that they'd first perform solos, and then the cuts would happen - so they had to be great or they'd be packing their bags to go home.
The remaining dancers had to first survive a round of Hip-Hop choreography from incomparable Stephen "tWitch" Boss and Comfort Fedoke, both Season 4 alumni and current All-Stars.
Day 2 began like any morning, with eating breakfast and getting pumped for the day - if your day is filled with endless hours of Broadway choreography from Tyce Diorio. Tyce described his routine as one of his hardest.
Salt Lake City Ballroom dancers and friends Witney Carson and Lindsay Arnold were happily surprised to realize that they were Vegas roommates. Team Ballroom and several others were part of the first group of dancers for the Broadway round, set to Marc Broussard's "Must Be the Water."
By noon, Alexa Anderson - the final dancer cut from last season right before the Top 20 was decided - performed with her Broadway group. The judges asked Alexa to step forward. Adam told her, "I'm getting tired of saving you! You are so frustrating because you could be the star winner of the show, and we're debating putting you through because you're dead - you're not giving us anything."
More dancers throughout the day were sent home by the judges. Cat announced that by 5:30 p.m., more girls than guys had been eliminated. Danielle was asked to help out Contemporary dancer Giovanni. Unfortunately, Giovanni accidentally kicked her in the head and got sent home for his big mistake.
After the final solos, Nigel called the boys up first and thanked them for performing many of the best solos the judges have seen at this point in the competition. Then Adrian and four other hopefuls were sent home.
The ladies were up next, and Nigel explained that the judges are looking for uniqueness this season and will not be cutting any of the girls yet, bringing the total number of Vegas callback survivors to 35.
