The characteristic of Cornish Rex is its shrinking hair. It is often described as "Sazanami like", but in Japanese terms it is like "punch perm." There is no outer hair called Cornish Rex's beard guard hair, and short coat is dense only with the under coat, so the touch is very good and comfort like a velvet. However, on the other hand, it is weak to cold, and we prefer a warm place such as home appliances and human knees, so we prefer to keep them indoors.
All body hair is curled up to beard and tail. Slender and stretched ridge nose is Roman nose, face is vertical oval type, big ears stand straight like rabbit, eye is big oval shape. It is also called "cat's world gray hound" because it has thin long body and slim legs, excellent jumping power, cat's number 1 speed, waist waist (tuck up).
